Happy Holidays and see you in 2015 – December 22, 2014
Dear Friends and Supporters:
Greetings from the team at “It Took 50 Years…”! We want to give you a few quick updates as we close out 2014!
1) We are thrilled to announce that Kathryn Barnier, our editor, has expanded her role on our team to include co-producer. Kathryn brings over 30 years of post-production and documentary film experience to table and her expanded role will increase our capacity towards finishing the film.
2) We have shifted our focus from editing to the acquisition and cataloging of archival materials, which are such a crucial part of this documentary. Securing quality archives within our budget has been a challenge but we will be meeting with several archivists and local photographers in the new year to identify and secure materials that are within our reach. If you have footage, photos or other archives from the Cooper Square struggle, please let us know! We are eager to utilize as much “community footage” as possible.
3) If you donated to our IndieGoGo campaign this Fall, rest assured that your rewards will be coming early in the New Year! We were privileged to have nearly 250 supporters in this amazing effort, which raised over $20,000. Once again, thank you!
We wish all of you a peaceful, healthy and happy holidays and looking forward to sharing the completed film with you in 2015!
